We have been producing stoneware pottery for over ten years - ten years of exploration of clays, glazes, forms and techniques. Pottery can be highly consumptive of energy, which we mitigate by throwing on a treadle wheel and choosing clays that can be fired at lower temperatures.
We never use any toxic metal oxides in our glazes. That does limit our palette mostly to earth tones, but we find these are the colors that best enhance their vessel's contents
While we do produce some pottery during our growing season, production really ramps up between November and April, resulting in a better selection during that time.
